Heyy my name’s Stef Sanza and here is my fitness journey.
I’ve started properly going to the gym for about 18 months now. There were a lot of things that got me into the gym, the main one being I was bullied for how I looked my whole life and naturally it always made me hate how I looked, would hate leaving the house, cry myself to sleep, would even refuse to look at myself in the mirror, etc. I struggled for a while trying to get motivated and consistent in the gym and one day I just decided that’s it, if I’m gonna do it I’m going it now. It still took me a few months to become motivated and consistent but once I kept going and saw progress that was enough motivation.
One of the biggest things I’ve learnt in my journey is nutrition/diet is key, if you want to see progress and make a change. Once I started eating better, prioritising my meals/nutrition and exercise, I’ve fallen in love with the gym, and from it feeling like a chore it has turned into a hobby.
My overall experience with training has been a massive rollercoaster, some days you feel a million dollars and some days you think if you’ve even made a difference. Gym/fitness has changed me in so many ways for the better, without it, I would never have felt what confidence feels like and that’s what keeps me going.
